Organic Neroli Organic Neroli is one of the softest oils used in aromatherapy. Its health benefits cannot be overemphasized and play a significant role in the reduction of anxiety, insomnia caused by stress or depression ,scars, wrinkles, inflame, sensitive skin, improve elasticity and have antiseptic properties. Play a role in premenstrual syndrome A double-blind clinical trial involving 95 students, randomly divided into three aromatherapy groups. The students completed a Premenstrual Symptoms Screening Tool questionnaire (PSST) before and during the first and second months of the intervention. The study concluded that essential oils of Rosa Damascena were more effective in improving the symptoms of premenstrual syndrome, psychological, physical, and social aspects compared to Citrus Aurantium. Analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties In a study carried out on the analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties of Citrus aurantium L. blossoms essential oil (neroli) in mice and rats. The analgesic activity of neroli was assessed by acetic acid-induced writhing and Eddy's hot plate methods, while acute and chronic anti-inflammatory effects were investigated by inflammatory paw edema in rats and the cotton pellet-induced granuloma tissue model, respectively. The results suggested that neroli have significant activity against acute and chronic inflammation, and have central and peripheral antinociceptive effects which support the ethnomedicinal claims of the use of the plant in the management of pain and inflammation. Antimicrobial and antioxidant A study was carried out to investigate the chemical composition and in vitro antimicrobial and antioxidant activities of neroli oil. The antimicrobial activity was determined against 6 bacteria (3 Gram-positive and 3 Gram-negative), 2 yeasts, and 3 fungi by the Agar-well-diffusion method. The antioxidant activity was determined by ABTS with IC50 values of 672 mg L-1. Neroli oil is effective as an antimicrobial and antioxidant. Sedative effects A study investigated the sedative effect of neroli oil in a series of experimental procedures on mice. The motility of female mice was reduced from arbitrarily graded 100% for untreated animals to 34.73% by neroli oil after the experiment showing the potency of neroli oil as a sedative agent. Relieve menopausal A study was carried out to investigate the effects of the essential oil of Citrus aurantium L. var. amara (neroli oil) on menopausal symptoms, stress, and estrogen in postmenopausal women. A total of 63 healthy postmenopausal women were randomized and divided into groups; neroli oil and almond oil (control), and were treated for 5 minutes twice daily for 5 consecutive days. In comparison with the control group, the study observed neroli oil to relieve menopausal symptoms, increase sexual desire, and reduce blood pressure in postmenopausal women better. Neroli oil may have the potential as an effective intervention to reduce stress and improve the endocrine system. References Choi SY, Kang P, Lee HS, Seol GH.
